My Story
On June 4th 2023, I am taking part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon to support vulnerable women who come to MQI - Jane's Place.
MQI Jane's Place offers a female-only wellbeing centre in Dublin. This service is a safe haven where vulnerable women can feel welcome and heard. It offers a space where complex needs are addressed.
Daring to Dream
Recently I completed two cycles of Bodyslims weight loss programme and have managed to lose 48lbs. I'm grateful I was in a position that I could afford to do this. Many others aren't. Before I began the programme I was incredibly down about my weight and beginning to experience health issues, but in the last six months I was taught how to Dare to Dream. When I signed up for the Mini Marathon I hoped that I might manage to run 5km. I'm now thinking that I will aim to run for the 10km.
It is my hope that Jane's Centre provides women with the small steps necessary that they might begin to Dare to Dream once more.
